Johnny "DJ Koolout" Starks to Power 93.5 in Wichita

Audacy adds Johnny "DJ Koolout" Starks as afternoon host on KDGS-FM (Power 93.5) in Wichita, KS. Starks will be heard weekdays from 2-6pm CT, effective January 10. DJ Koolout launched his on-air radio career at Kennedy-King College on WKKC 89.3. From there, he has held various roles in promotions, production and on-air, including afternoon drive personality in various markets.

Johnny "DJ Koolout" Starks is a radio veteran with an extensive resume that has taken him through many platforms entertaining, informing, engaging and creating - from Ebony/Jet Magazine's Bachelor of the Year to TV and film roles in "Nothing Like the Holidays," "Godfather of Green Bay," "Barbershop," "I Got the Hook-Up 2," "Ransum Games" with Wood Harris and Elise Neal, and more. Koolout's credits stretch in front and behind the camera as he has worked with Sharon King casting, State Street Films and production crews on films such as "Spiderman," "Of Boys to Men," "Roll Bounce" and others.
