Bernie Lucas to Retire as Creative Director from WMZQ/D.C.

Bernie Lucas will retire as Creative Director at iHeartMedia Country WMZQ-FM in Washington, DC and WPOC-FM in Baltimore, effective June 30. He recently celebrated his 30th anniversary with WMZQ.

Region Senior VP/Programming Jeff Kapugi said, "Bernie has been the creative force behind WMZQ's sound -- and most recently WPOC's sound -- along with some national work for the iHeartCountry network of stations. Bernie also was the host of the DC stations' weekly public affairs show and the main producer for iHeart DC's 'CEO's You Should Know.'"
