Ray Stevens Exits KCMO to Focus Solely on WLS-AM Chicago

Ray Stevens is stepping down from his middays at Talk KCMO-AM in Kansas City to concentrate fully on mornings at WLS-AM in Chicago. The move comes as KCMO reshuffles its lineup, introducing a new hour-long program with Kevin Kietzman. Stevens, who took over the morning slot at WLS-AM in June following Steve Cochran's departure, had been juggling his Chicago show alongside his 10am-noon slot at KCMO since September, 2022. Stevens' final KCMO broadcast aired last week.

Replacing Stevens in the 10am slot is Kevin Kietzman, a familiar name in Kansas City radio. Kietzman previously hosted a sports/talk show on crosstown WHB-AM for 22 years before leaving the station in 2019. Kietzman's new show is titled "Kevin Kietzman Uncanceled." He'll continue producing his podcast, "Kevin Kietzman Has Issues," alongside his new radio role.

In addition to Kietzman's debut, KCMO will now air "The Dan Bongino Show" in its entirety, extending the program to run from 11am to 2pm. This adjustment fills the slot previously shared with Stevens' midday show.
