Salem Media Group has announced the continuation of Joe Piscopo's tenure at WNYM (AM 970 The Answer) in New York, extending his contract as morning host. Piscopo, who first gained national recognition as a cast member on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" from 1980 to 1984, has aired on the station since 2014 in the 6-10am ET weekday slot. The show features a team including producer Joe Sibilia, news anchor Al Gattullo, traffic reporter Debbie DuHaime and weather expert Stephen Parr.

VP & General Manager Jerry Crowley praised Piscopo's impact, stating, "Joe Piscopo joining our lineup was one of the best things that could have happened to AM 970 The Answer. His talent on the radio is undeniable, and his deep connection with the audience has been instrumental in enhancing our programming over the last decade."

Piscopo expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership, "It is a distinct honor working with Mr. Crowley and Salem Media. Broadcasting to our astute, aware, and patriotic audience is a huge responsibility, one that I am proud to uphold. Together with the best Morning Team in radio, we strive to speak truthfully and honestly about the issues of the day."

AM 970 The Answer GSM Laura Sheaffer remarked on the show's success, "We continue to receive tremendous feedback from our audience and advertisers about Joe's relatability and authenticity. The last decade has been incredibly successful, and we are excited to see the show reach new heights in the coming years."
