Detroit radio veteran Trudi Daniels has left Classic Rock 106.7 WLLZ after a six-year run at the station. Daniels, who spent 22 years at 101 WRIF as part of the "Drew and Mike" morning show, shared news of her departure on social media.
"It's been a long, strange trip the last six years," Daniels posted on X. "I'm gonna miss the friends who supported me in the beginning and those I met along the way on WLLZ."
She added in a follow-up post, "You truly were the best part of these past six years. Thanks for Rockin' with me on Detroit's Wheels. (Love) you all and will miss you terribly."
Daniels joined WLLZ in 2019 when the station rebranded as Classic Rock and revived its "Detroit's Wheels" identity.
Beyond her tenure at WLLZ, Daniels has had a long career in radio, including a multi-year run at WCSX-FM, where she co-hosted the morning show beginning in 2013. A Sandusky, Ohio native, her experience includes on-air roles at WZOU-FM in Boston, KSEG-FM in Sacramento, WLVQ-FM in Columbus, and WIOT-FM in Toledo.
Daniels has indicated she will continue with "The Drew Lane Show" podcast.
