Wilson in the Morning Lands at ''96.1 The Rooster''

After the format change at Daytona Beach's WROD-AM & FM from Rock to News/Talk, "Wilson in the Morning" has found a new home at Gorilla Broadcasting's 96.1 The Rooster (WCEH-AM & W241CO), serving Hawkinsville, Warner Robins, and Macon, GA. Wilson previously held the PM Drive slot at WROD-AM and W283DS for the past two years before the station flipped formats earlier this week.

The program, self-described as "the most dangerous show on terrestrial radio," blends hot talk, prank calls, hyper-localism, parody bits, and unfiltered commentary within a music-variety format. Broadcasting remotely from Panama City Beach, FL, the show is also available for syndication in additional markets.

"Management has given me the green light to talk about anything I want," said host Wilson. "The freedom to discuss any topic without looking over my shoulder is rare and a breath of fresh air! I consider it my civic duty as a member of the 4th pillar of democracy to defend the airwaves from fascism."

Wilson's radio resume includes stops at WYYX (97X) Panama City, WVRX (95.7 The X) Knoxville, KKND (then 106.7 The End) New Orleans, WKLS (Project 96.1) Atlanta, and earlier stints in the Macon market at WYNF (96.5 The Buzz) and WQBZ (Q106).
