Veteran radio personality Eric Johnson is returning to WKXW (New Jersey 101.5) Trenton as co-host of the Townsquare News/Talk outlet's midday program alongside Judi Franco. The newly branded "The Judi & EJ Show" debuts following the retirement of Dennis Malloy, who has signed off after a 32-year tenure with the station.

Johnson previously served as Program Director of New Jersey 101.5 from 1999 to 2017. After departing the station, he joined Beasley Media Group, where he programmed Sports WPEN-FM (97.5 The Fanatic) in Philadelphia. He later returned to Beasley in 2020 to lead programming for AC 99.5 WJBR in Wilmington, DE, until the station was sold in 2023. Most recently, he served as PD and midday host at Classic Rock 102.9 WMGK Philadelphia before his position was eliminated earlier this year.

Earlier in his career, Johnson worked at several prominent stations including 610 WIP in Philadelphia, WPLY (Y100) in Philadelphia, WAEB-FM in Allentown, WSNI in Philadelphia, and WPST in Trenton.

Johnson said, "Thanks to Sam Gagliardi, Brian Lang, Judi Franco, Matt Ryan...and everyone at Townsquare Media for this opportunity to come back to an amazing station like no other -- one that's always been proud to be New Jersey."
