Maddie Reis has announced that she is no longer the morning host at Hot AC KMVA (97.5 & 103.9) in Phoenix. Reis, who joined the station in September, 2024 to launch her solo morning show Maddie in the Morning, shared the news with listeners on Instagram. She revealed that she was laid off shortly after her show ended last Friday.
"I've been trying to figure out the best way to say this, but nothing feels right," Reis wrote. "I can't let #nationalradioday go by without making a post, and what more of a radio thing to happen than being laid off last Friday, 15m after my show ended.
"I'm sad that it had to go, but so happy I had it for as long as I did. Hosting my own solo morning show, in Phoenix, AZ, at 26 is practically unheard of. I did my absolute best, and gave 100% of what I had to my show day in, and day out. I made so many connections, learned an extreme amount, and had fun everyday with my listeners. No one can take that from me."
Before joining KMVA, Reis served as Executive Producer of The Morning Mess at Audacy's KALV-FM (Live 101.5) in Phoenix and previously worked as Executive Producer for The Chet Buchanan Show on KLUC in Las Vegas.
