Country outlet WDAF-FM (106.5 The Wolf)/Kansas City has added Nick Russo to afternoons, expanding his role within Audacy's country portfolio. Russo will continue to serve as afternoon host and Music Director at sister KILT-FM (100.3 The Bull)/Houston, where he has been on staff for more than a decade.

Russo joined The Bull as a weekend host in 2014, moved to nights in 2015, and has hosted afternoons since 2016. His previous stops include San Antonio and Corpus Christi in both Country and CHR formats.

"If you've been in Kansas City the last couple of days you may have heard my voice," Russo shared on social media. "Stoked to announce I'm now hosting Afternoons on 106.5 The Wolf in KC along with my show in Houston! Thankfully, technology allows me to stay in Houston, but will be planning a visit soon!"

Russo succeeds Jeff "Shotgun" Jaxon, who exited afternoons in August amid budget cuts after nearly 20 years at 106.5 The Wolf and more than three decades in the Kansas City market. Morning co-host, Assistant Program Director and Music Director Codie Allen also departed at the same time.
