Salem Media Group has signed a new two-year extension with Joe Piscopo, keeping the veteran talk host as morning anchor on New York City's WNYM (AM 970 The Answer) through the end of 2028.

Under the agreement, The Joe Piscopo Show will continue airing live weekdays from 6-10am, extending Piscopo's run in the slot to more than a decade. Piscopo joined the station in 2014 and has become a fixture in New York News/Talk outlet.

Piscopo first gained national recognition as a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live from 1980 to 1984, before transitioning into radio and television.

"Joe Piscopo remains one of the most dynamic talents in New York radio," said Laura Sheaffer, General Manager of AM 970 The Answer and Salem Media of New York. "His authenticity and connection with our listeners are extraordinary."

Piscopo said he values the trust built with listeners and looks forward to continuing the program. "I'm honored, grateful, and excited to keep sharing these mornings with such an amazing audience," he said.

The Joe Piscopo Show is produced by Joe Sibilia, with Al Gattullo handling news, Debbie DuHaime providing traffic, and Stephen Parr delivering weather.
