Veteran Sports radio personality Kayla Anderson has been named a new midday host at KHTK-AM (Sactown Sports 1140) in Sacramento, with her fulltime debut set for Monday, January 12. The move marks Anderson's return to full-time radio after a seven-month hiatus following her departure from 104.5 The Zone in Nashville.
Anderson previously co-hosted the "Ramon, Kayla, and Will" show and built a strong following among local sports fans.
Anderson will join a yet-to-be-announced co-host in the weekday 10am-2pm slot, replacing Allen Stiles, who recently moved to co-host "The Drive Guys" with Kevin "Whitey" Gleason. Stiles shared the news with listeners during an in-studio conversation with Anderson.
Before transitioning to radio in 2022, Anderson spent six years as a television sports anchor and reporter at WKRN-TV, covering Nashville-area teams. Since filling in at Sactown Sports 1140, she said she has been impressed with the station's staff and described the opportunity as "unique and awesome."
In a post on X ahead of the on-air announcement, Anderson reflected on the challenges she faced after leaving Nashville last May, thanking family, friends, and fans for their support. She also reassured Tennessee Titans fans that she plans to continue following the team closely despite the move west.
