Bonneville Sacramento has unveiled two key on-air additions at New Country 105.1 KNCI, naming Joe Maumee as the newest co-host of mornings and bringing AJ Maguire aboard for afternoons.
Beginning Monday, January 12, Maumee will join Country Radio Hall of Fame personality Pat Still and longtime co-host Cody Robinson on the newly rebranded "Pat & Cody with Joe Maumee" morning show. Still and Robinson have led KNCI mornings for the past eight years. Maumee arrives from crosstown Classic Rock KYRV (93.7 The River), where he spent seven years co-hosting Dog & Joe with Craig "Dog" Stalians, following earlier afternoon stints together at Rock KRXQ (98 Rock).
"We are excited to welcome someone with the market credibility Joe has to our team," said Chad Rufer, Director of Programming for Bonneville International Sacramento. "Joe is a talent I've admired for years. Adding him alongside Pat and Cody on mornings brings an exciting new chapter for Sacramento radio listeners."
Maumee fills the morning opening created by Tom Mailey's retirement last May.
The station also confirmed that AJ Maguire will take over afternoon duties at KNCI, replacing Pacey Cervantes, who departed the station in November to run for Congress. Maguire most recently hosted mornings at iHeartMedia's KSNE (Sunny 106.5) in Las Vegas and brings extensive Country radio experience, including time at WWKA (K92.3) Orlando and multiple on-air and programming roles across several markets.
"I'm extremely excited to be joining the KNCI team and to be back in the format I love, while working for a company that has been on my bucket list my entire career," Maguire said.
