"Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton" has joined the weekend lineup at KKGO (Go Country 105) in Los Angeles, with the syndicated program now airing Saturdays from 6-9 p.m.

Compass Media Networks announced the addition of the show to the Mount Wilson Broadcasting-owned Country outlet, marking a reunion between Radio Hall of Fame broadcaster Lon Helton and Go Country 105.

Helton, who has spent more than three decades covering and charting country music, hosts the weekly countdown program featuring current hits, artist interviews and commentary on trends shaping the country music industry.

Go Country 105 owner and President Saul Levine said the station has enjoyed a long relationship with Helton and his programming.

"KKGO's experience with Lon Helton over the past 20 years has been so beneficial that we are delighted to once again welcome Lon Helton on KKGO Go Country and resume KKGO's march to the top as America's leading country station," Levine said.

Helton also welcomed the return of the program to the Los Angeles station. "It is great to be reunited with Saul Levine and an honor to once again have Country Countdown USA on Go Country 105, one of the USA's most listened-to Country radio stations," he said.
