WTOP Names John Wordock as New Business Reporter

WTOP Washington DC names veteran journalist John Wordock as its next business reporter, effective January 26. Wordock is a familiar voice to WTOP listeners, having anchored market updates for the station in the 2000s while serving as Managing Editor of MarketWatch Radio. During his tenure at MarketWatch, he also delivered business reports for stations including WBZ, WINS, WBBM, KRLD, and KCBS.
Most recently, Wordock worked as a media consultant, advising organizations on adopting multimedia storytelling strategies. That experience aligns with WTOP's plans to broaden its business reporting beyond on-air updates.
In addition to delivering business reports at :10 and :40 past each hour, Wordock will produce original video content and written articles for WTOP.com and the station's social media channels. His role will also include enterprise and exclusive reporting focused on strengthening WTOP's local business coverage.
