Dan Proft Extends AM 560 Morning Show Through 2027

Salem Media Group has reached a new two-year contract extension with Chicago morning talk show host Dan Proft, keeping him on News/Talk WIND (AM 560 The Answer) through the end of 2027.
Proft has hosted Chicago's Morning Answer since 2015 and is the longest-running morning talk show host in the Chicago market. John Gallagher, regional vice president and general manager of AM 560 The Answer, said Proft's interviewing skills and grasp of issues affecting Illinois audiences have helped establish the program as a cornerstone of the station's lineup.
In a statement, Proft said he is "excited to extend my run on Chicago's Morning Answer" and expressed appreciation for the station's management, listeners, and guests. Before joining AM 560, Proft was heard on WLS-AM.
A native of Wheaton, Illinois, Proft is a graduate of Northwestern University and Loyola University School of Law. He has managed political campaigns and served in state and municipal government roles since the mid-1990s. Following his 2010 run for governor, Proft transitioned full time into radio talk hosting.
