iHeartMedia Baltimore's 93.1 WPOC has named Candace Dold co-host of its new weekday morning program, "Michael J & Candace In The Morning," effective immediately. Dold will be heard weekdays from 6-10am alongside Michael J, who is set to be inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2026. She will report to Jeff Kapugi, Region Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia.
The appointment follows a search process during which Dold filled in as a guest host. According to Kapugi, her on-air chemistry with Michael J made her a natural fit for the role.
Dold joins WPOC from WBFF (FOX45) in Baltimore, where she served as a news reporter and anchor from 2005 to 2019. She also hosted the station's lifestyle program, "B'More Lifestyle."
A Maryland native, Dold said she is returning to a station she grew up listening to and looks forward to becoming part of listeners' morning routines.
