iHeartMedia's WMAG (Mix 99.5) in Greensboro has launched "David & Meredith in the Morning," with David Jones and Meredith Michaels taking over the AC outlets weekday morning slot from 6-10am, effective immediately.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be joining the Mix 99.5 family as your new morning show team," Jones and Michaels said in a joint statement. "Mix 99.5 has such a rich connection with this community, and waking up with you every day is a dream come true for both of us. Expect plenty of laughs, great music, and a few surprises as we kick off this incredible new chapter together."

Jones brings more than 40 years of broadcasting experience spanning radio, television and national commercial work, including hosting the Fox Kids Club and David D TV. Michaels joins the station with a background that includes radio, fast-pitch softball coaching and a passion for sports. She is also known for her "Good News, Baby" feature and a variety of character voices.

"When you have a winning formula with what David & Meredith have, you want to bring that to the market," said Zac Davis, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Greensboro, Greenville and Asheville. "Their outlook, positivity and engagement match Mix 99.5 perfectly and we can't wait for them to get started. Meredith's ties to North Carolina just enhance our new partnership."

Drew Salamon, iHeartMedia Carolinas Area President, added that the duo's "energy, authenticity, and ability to connect with listeners make them a perfect fit for the station and our audience. We're excited to bring a morning show that will entertain, engage and become part of our listeners' daily routine throughout the market."
