Billy Brown has returned to WKWS-FM (Superstar Country 96.1 KWS) in Charleston, WV, as morning host. The move marks a return to the station for Brown, who previously spent five years at WKWS from 2017 through 2022. Most recently, he was part of the on-air lineup at crosstown WQBE.
"I'm really glad to have Billy back," said Program Director Crash Poteet. "He has a history with KWS and with country radio in Charleston, and it just feels right to have him where so many listeners remember him."
Brown, a Wheeling, WV, native, relocated to Charleston in 2017 and joined WKWS that year.
"96.1 KWS was my baby for its first five years," Brown said. "Crash has taken the station to another level, and I am extremely excited to be back."
