iHeartMedia's Country WCOL-FM (92.3) in Columbus, OH, has named Dana Johnson morning co-host alongside Dan Zuko. Johnson made her debut Monday morning, succeeding Kayla Hanley, who departed the station in August.

Johnson joins WCOL after serving as Director of Promotions and Live Events for Audacy's Country KFRG-FM (95.1 K-Frog) in Riverside, CA, and KSON-FM (103.7) in San Diego. She also hosts weekend middays at KFRG and will continue in that role through the end of 2026.

In a video announcing her departure from Audacy, Johnson revealed that she had been working remotely from Fort Wayne, IN, for more than two years after her husband's job transfer in 2024. A recent promotion for her husband brought the family to Columbus, where Johnson said a radio opportunity became available that she couldn't pass up.

Johnson began her radio career in 2007 in the promotions department at KFRG, eventually advancing to Promotions Manager for CBS Radio Riverside. In 2016, she moved into programming as a producer and co-host of the nationally syndicated "Big Time with Whitney Allen."

She returned to KFRG in 2019 as Director of Promotions and expanded her responsibilities to include KSON in 2021.

The move brings Johnson back to a daily on-air role as she joins Zuko on WCOL's morning program, while concluding her longtime promotions leadership responsibilities in Southern California.
