KMOX (1120 and 104.1) in St. Louis has added "The Last Show with David Cooper" to its weekday programming lineup. The program airs Monday through Friday from 9-11pm, bringing a mix of expert interviews, humor and discussions of contemporary issues to the Audacy News/Talk outlet.
Hosted by former Silicon Valley software engineer David Cooper, the show explores technology, artificial intelligence, science, psychology, relationships and pop culture through conversations with experts working directly in those fields.
KMOX Brand Manager Steve Moore described the program as a distinctive addition to the station's evening schedule. "The show is quirky, curious, unexpected and entertaining - a fresh voice in a crowded radio landscape that gives people something they won't find anywhere else on the dial," Moore said. "We're excited to bring David's unique perspective to KMOX and think St. Louis is going to love it."
Cooper, who spent 15 years working as a software engineer in Silicon Valley, developed the program around curiosity and informative conversations rather than the confrontational approach often associated with talk radio.
"I spent 15 years writing software, and the core question never leaves you: 'Why does anyone keep using this past the first ten seconds?' That's the driving force of the show," Cooper said.
He also welcomed the opportunity to join the KMOX lineup, adding, "Thank you to Steve Moore and the entire Audacy team in St. Louis for the privilege of joining one of America's most successful stations."
"The Last Show with David Cooper" already airs in several major North American markets, including Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. The addition of KMOX expands the program's presence in the United States.
