Award-winning morning personality Lisa Mason has died due to health complications. Mason was a long time Birmingham radio veteran and spent over 17 years as an air personality on SummitMedia's WBPT-FM (106.9 The Eagle). Mason not only served her community on-air with entertainment and news but also hosted and worked countless community events including "Do Dah Day," local town festivals, Toys for Tots events, tornado relief drives, annual "Boo Halloween Party" and more.

WBPT said "that while they mourn the loss of a very special woman, we also celebrate her remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to young and old alike."
