Veteran Media Exec Winter Horton Joins Meruelo Media as COO

Meruelo Media adds Winter Horton to company's executive team as Chief Operating Officer, reporting to President and CEO Otto Padron. He joins Meruelo Media beginning September 3 after serving more than 20 years in the same role at LBI Media Inc. While at LBI, Horton grew the company from a local media company to the nationally recognized Estrella Television Network and Radio Group. Prior to his time at LBI, Horton was a commercial producer and director.

"Meruelo Media has enjoyed extraordinary growth in the past few months. The task to solidify our L.A. Super cluster position and continue our expansion is my highest priority. To achieve this, I'm proud to announce the addition of Winter Horton as our Chief Operating Officer," said Padron. "Winter brings a wealth of experience and a unique skill set to help us create even greater value as we optimize our strategy of growth."

Meruelo Media operates Los Angeles television stations KWHY-TV (Channel 22) and KBEH (channel 63) along with KLOS, KPWR (Power 106)/Los Angeles and KDEY-FM, and KLLI (CALI 93.9)/Riverside-San Bernardino.
