Cox Media Group (CMG) Miami is partnering with Winn-Dixie in Broward and Dade County to collect donations for those in The Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian. As part of the two-day CMG Labor of Love Bahamas Relief event, 99 Jamz, Easy 93.1, Hits 97.3 and Hot 105 will be broadcasting live Thursday and Friday from 10am-7pm at four Winn-Dixie locations throughout the area.
"Cox Media Group is proud to partner with Winn-Dixie to collect supplies for those impacted by Hurricane Dorian in The Bahamas," said CMG Miami General Manager Ralph Renzi. "We stand with the people of The Bahamas and hope this much-needed support will provide relief and help their community recover."
"Winn-Dixie is honored to partner with Cox Media for this donation drive. Hurricane Dorian had a tremendous impact on the residents of the Bahamas and, here in Miami, we know firsthand about the long road of recovery ahead of them. The Winn-Dixie customers and associates are opening their generous hearts and we're really proud of this community," added Winn-Dixie South Florida Regional VP Jorge Cabo.
Radio personalities from each station will be on location to meet with listeners, accept donations and give away one $50 Winn-Dixie gift card every hour at each broadcast location. Donated items to be collected include non-perishable food, battery-powered radios, batteries, sunscreen, infant formula and diapers, personal hygiene items and more.
"We have the best listeners in Miami and the support this community provides in times of need is truly inspirational," said CMG Miami Director of Community Relations Maestro Powell. "It takes a village to raise a community so thank you to everyone who comes out to support CMG Labor of Love Bahamas Relief."
