Alpha Media/Portland, OR's KUPL-FM (98.7 The Bull) has raised $261,098.70 in partnership with their "Bull Nation" listeners and advertisers during their radiothon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on December 5 and 6. Since 2009, the Country outlet has raised more than $1.5 million dollars for the kids at St. Jude.

"98.7 The Bull and the Bull Nation again broke fundraising records this year in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Everyone at the station and their listeners are so dedicated to this mission and have become true champions for the kids here in the Portland area. Every year the team with The Bull does something special with this radiothon," said St. Jude Sr. Development Director Curtis Carroll. "We are so appreciative of the time, energy and passion that they all pour into this important work. We couldn't be more grateful to have 98.7 The Bull as one of our premier partners in Portland and are so thankful for the many ways that they inspire the Portland community to be a part of this lifesaving mission."

On Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6, Tony Russell, Jake Byron, Jenn Hays, Danny Dwyer and MoJoe Roberts broadcast live encouraging listeners to call in and become a Partner in Hope during the radiothon. They had numerous local patient families share their stories on the air, including one Portland family currently receiving treatment in Memphis at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In addition, many of the station's advertisers donated to the cause as "Angels of the Hour."

98.7 The Bull Content Director MoJoe Roberts said, "To say I'm proud of this team is an understatement. We truly have a gifted group and our amazing listeners came through again this year to deliver the biggest check we've ever presented to St. Jude."

New for 2020, 98.7 The Bull hosted the St. Jude Jam on Sunday, December 8 featuring Blanco Brown, Ryan Hurd and King Calaway at the Ponderosa Lounge & Grill. All proceeds for ticket sales were donated to St. Jude.
