KFMB-AM & FM/San Diego raised over $1 million during the annual Warrior Foundation Freedom Station Radiothon on Friday, December 6, gathering funds to send injured soldiers, sailors and Marines home for the holidays. In addition, the funds raised support the Warrior Foundation/Freedom Station's mission to provide military service men and women with quality-of-life items, support services and transitional housing designed to assist them and their families during recovery.

AM 760 along with sister stations News 8 and 100.7 San Diego, hosted the annual "radiothon," a live broadcast featuring veterans' stories and interviews. The current total collected for the event was $1,195,330.00.

"We are profoundly moved by the extraordinary kindness of the 5,700+ people who donated during the Radiothon," said Warrior Foundation Freedom Station founder/CEO Sandy Lehmkuhler. "Americans from across the country gave so generously to make Christmas miracles happen for our ill and injured warriors, who are now going home to their families for the holidays. This gift will have an enormous impact on their morale during recovery and rehabilitation."

"It is a privilege for our talented on-air personalities to share the amazing story the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station" said KFMB-AM Director of Programming Dave Sniff. "Our listeners hear these moving stories, they want to help and generously donate to this worthy cause."
