When the American Heart Association decided to utilize a virtual format for its annual Go Red for Women Luncheon, event organizers turned to Cox Media Group (CMG) Tulsa to help execute their vision. KOKI-TV (FOX23) anchor Shae Rozzi will emcee the event on June 19, as it is broadcast to event participants via a Zoom conference call.

FOX23 and Cox Media Group sister station KRAV-FM (Mix 96.5) are longtime supporters of this fundraising event, which is expected to raise more than $450,000 to further the mission of the American Heart Association. Both stations joined to encourage participation in the luncheon and its annual silent auction, which is open to the public for the first time this year.

"Heart disease doesn't stop because of a global pandemic and neither do we," said Cox Media Group Tulsa Market Vice President Cathy Gunther. "It is important that we support the work of groups who are facing unique challenges during such an uncertain time. Healthy lifestyles have never been more important, and we are honored to be able to use our platforms to help the American Heart Association."

The Go Red for Women Luncheon is the last of four American Heart Association events Cox Media Group Tulsa supported in 2020. Earlier this year FOX23 and Mix 96.5 supported the Wear Red for Women Day, the #QuitLying campaign, and the Heart Walk. Learn more at mix965tulsa.com.
