Report: Keyshawn Johnson to Take ESPN Radio Mornings

Former NFL wide receiver and Sports KSPN-AM (ESPN LA 710 AM)/Los Angeles morning co-host Keyshawn Johnson is headed to mornings, reports the New York Post's Andrew Marchand. This puts the fate current morning hosts Mike Golic, Trey Wingo and Mike Golic Jr. of "Golic & Wingo" in the unknown column. Johnson's partner or partners are still undetermined. Both Wingo and Golic have contracts that are up at the end of 2020. Golic Jr. is under contract past this year and is expected to remain in a revamped lineup, likely in the afternoon or evenings, says Marchand.

Marchand also reports that Golic's old radio partner, Mike Greenberg, who hosted "Mike & Mike in the Morning" for many years before moving to the TV side as host of "Get Up," may return to radio in afternoons. Marchand says that ESPN Radio have considered placing Greenberg in the noon-2pm (ET) slot, replacing the final hour of "The Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz." However, Greenberg could also host 1-3pm. Afternoon host Will Cain is leaving to join FOX News.

As for Johnson's partner(s), Marchand says Max Kellerman has been mentioned, but at this point that seems unlikely with ESPN prioritizing Kellerman's role on "First Take." Besides Golic Jr., Jason Fitz -- who currently hosts "First Take, Your Take" -- is under contract and could be considered with Johnson or may end up replacing Cain in afternoons.
