iHeartMedia's KJAQ-FM (96.5 JACK FM)/Seattle will flip to 96.5 JILL FM, playing what SHE wants, for International Women's Day. On Monday, March 8, the station will change its name, logo, website, music and imaging to all things female to celebrate International Women's Day. The station will broadcast top women artists including Joan Jett, Belinda Carlisle, Alanis Morissette, Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart and more. In addition, KJAQ will feature female only music and segments like Jacktivities will be Jilltivities.
"To celebrate International Women's Day by playing only women artists is a dream come true," said 96.5 JACK FM's Lee Callahan, Seattle's only woman DJ to host a morning show on her own. "We've always known the power of women artists, and to spotlight their talents exclusively all day is unheard of on commercial radio. Jack, now Jill, is a trailblazer."
