Cumulus Media/San Francisco appoints 29-year radio broadcasting veteran Larry Blumhagen as Vice President and Market Manager, beginning Monday, May 3. He'll oversee Bay Area stations Classic Rock KSAN-FM, News/Talk KGO-AM, Sports KNBR-FM/AM and News/Talk KSFO-AM. Blumhagen replaces Doug Harvill, who announced his retirement from the industry in January.

Blumhagen joins Cumulus Media from Audacy (Entercom) where he was Vice President and Director of Sales for Audacy/Entercom Los Angeles, and for previous owner CBS Radio, for the past six years. Prior to that, he was General Sales Manager for CBS Radio San Francisco from 2006-2015, following nine years as General Sales Manager for CBS Radio/Infinity Radio Portland, OR.

Cumulus Media EVP, Operations Dave Milner said, "Larry brings a strategic mind focused on building successful sales organizations and positive cultures. Aligning his exceptional leadership abilities and deep knowledge of the San Francisco market with our talented team and strong brands is a winning combination."

Blumhagen commented, "I'm beyond thrilled to return to San Francisco and to join the exceptional team at Cumulus Media. Leading these great brands forward while meeting the needs of both our listeners and advertisers will be an exciting journey. I'm fortunate to be stepping into Doug Harvill's shoes, as I know first-hand that he is a man of deep integrity and immense passion for the industry."
