WAWZ and WAKW Appoint Cari Kates as Dir. Digital Content

WAWZ-FM (STAR 99.1)/New York and WAKW-FM (STAR 93.3)/Cincinnati appoint Cari Kates as the new Director of Digital Content for the Pillar Ministries Radio Group. Her career began with Clear Channel at WQEN/Birmingham and has included WDJC/Birmingham, KDUV/Visalia-Tulare, EMI CMG (now Capitol CMG), K-LOVE/Air1 and CMB. Kates also learned the record label side of the industry, working under Grant Hubbard.
Director of Broadcasting Art Garza stated, "We have been praying and searching for the better part of a year for someone with strong leadership capability who understands engagement and the growing role of Digital in the world we live in. We have been through many interviews with our leadership teams in NJ and Ohio. One candidate rose above the rest. I am pleased to welcome Cari Kates as our new Director of Digital Content."
Kates will report directly to Art Garza in serving the Pillar Ministries Radio Group.
