Ron & Fez Co-Host Fez Whatley Dead of Heart Failure

Fez Whatley (aka Todd Hillier), best known as half of "The Ron and Fez Show," died Friday night of heart failure reports The Wrap. He was 57. The comedian and "shock jock" had several heart attacks over the last 16 years. His former co-host, Ron Bennington, announced the news on Instagram.

"We lost our sweet Fez Whatley last night. His heart finally gave out," wrote Bennington. "We are devastated, but we will always remember the laughter through our tears. Our thoughts are with his family who loved him the most and with the people who knew him as a voice on the radio."

The Florida native started in radio as a producer and contributor for the syndicated "The Ron and Ron Show," hosted by Ron Diaz and Bennington. He teamed with Bennington on "The Ron and Fez Show" on WKRO/Daytona Beach, which ultimately landed on WNEW/New York.

Whatley's first heart attack was in 2005, while a second heart attack came in 2007 and a third 2010. Whne suffered another attack in 2015, he ended up with 15 stents in his heart.
