The Evans Broadcast Company (EBC) in Reno has launched CHR on K235DC as "94.9 The Party," stunting with 10,000 songs in a row. The new Top 40 is using the slogan "Today's Top Hits." EBC also owns KRAT-FM (ALT 92.1) in Reno, Talk KKFT-FM, KCMY (Cowboy Country) and KSVL (92.3 FM TALK). San Francisco-based Lund Media Group consults the stations and is hiring the program staff for The Party.

Market Manager Henry Evans commented, "The Party is a great companion to our Hot AC, KRFN-FM (FUN 101)."
