CMG San Antonio Radio is celebrating a major ratings sweep, placing all five of its FM stations in the top five across three key categories for the month of May -- overall ratings, the 25-54 demographic (including streaming), and the midday slot.
The cluster's strong showing highlights its ability to consistently connect with local listeners, a success attributed to content tailored to each station's audience. According to Vice President and Market Manager Mark Shecterle, the team's performance is rooted in delivering entertainment that resonates on a personal level.
"We understand that we need to connect with our listeners in ways that other brands and stations cannot," said Shecterle. "We strive to do that every day with an experienced team of passionate people who want to win and perform at a high level every day."
Creative programming has played a big role in audience engagement. On 106.7 KTKX-FM, "Joe's Garage" features lesser-known rock tracks paired with compelling stories that offer a peek into rock star lifestyles. Over on 101.1 KONO-FM, Tony Cortez entertains listeners by reenacting famous movie scenes -- complete with intentionally bad acting and comedic flair.
Rob Roberts, Program Director and Operations Manager, praised the staff for their ongoing dedication to quality broadcasting. "I'm so happy and proud of this team," said Roberts. "They work extremely hard every day to provide great content for both our listeners and our client partners. Hard work and dedication to great local radio are truly paying off."
