''La Mega 92.9'' to Launch in Pittsburgh on May 1
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, April 19, 2022 |
La Mega Media and Steel City Media have partnered to bring the first Spanish language station to serve the Hispanic community in the Pittsburgh metro area. "La Mega 92.9" on WLTJ-FM-HD2 will launch on May 1. La Mega Media already owns stations in Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland. The company's newest station will join the print and digital products already in Pittsburgh.
Steel City says the fast-growing Hispanic population in Allegheny County will, for the first time, have a Hispanic-owned, multi-faceted media company to reflect its prerogatives and serve as a bridge to businesses and institutions with the vision and savvy to reach this population.
Together with existing organizations like the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, La Mega Media's goal is to be the primary resource for trusted and reliable information for the community it serves and support the development of Hispanic owned businesses.
Steel City Media is a Pittsburgh-based multimedia and digital company with radio stations in Kansas City (KBEQ-FM, KCKC-FM, KFKF-FM, KMXV-FM) and Pittsburgh (WRRK-FM, WLTJ-FM).
