WYOY (Y101)/Jackson, MS appoints Matt Mony as PD

New South Radio/Jackson, MS appoints Matt Mony as Program Director and Brand Manager of CHR WYOY-FM (Y101). He replaces Louie Cruz, who left earlier this spring. Mony was most recently on-air at XHTZ-FM (Z90.3)/San Diego. He also previously served as Assistant PD/MD and afternoon talent on ZFun in Moscow, ID-Pullman, WA. Mony will make the move toward the end of June.

Mony noted, "I am beyond grateful and excited to join this huge, iconic brand. I am also so grateful to work with Y101 GM/Market Manager Bob Lawrence. It's going to be amazing and we're going to have a ton of fun."

Y101 has also announced the promotion of "Jenn & Bus" morning co-host Jenn Ryan to Assistant PD, after working over the last eighteen months as interim PD. Jenn adds, "I am so looking forward to assisting Matt as APD, especially after just coming off our win as Mississippi Station of the Year. These are very exciting times for us at Y101."

New South Radio also appoints Jan Michaels as Promotion Director for the six station cluster. She previously served for almost three decades at iHeartMedia in Jackson until November, 2021.

GM Bob Lawrence noted, "Jan is a promotional dynamo and knows virtually everyone in town. She is an incredible asset and we are so lucky to have her join our team. I couldn't be more thrilled with all these terrific people."
