SiriusXM taps veteran journalist Steve Scully to host a new program on its bipartisan political channel. "The Briefing with Steve Scully" will air weekdays from 12-2pm ET on SiriusXM's P.O.T.U.S. channel 124. On his new SiriusXM show, Scully -- Senior Vice President at Washington, DC's Bipartisan Policy Center -- will take listeners inside the stories and conversations that are shaping the day in the nation's capital.

From breaking Supreme Court rulings to debates in Congress and briefings from The White House, the program will consider all sides and every perspective, helping listeners stay on top of what's happening within the Beltway and beyond. Scully, who has interviewed every president since Gerald Ford, also will speak with key politicians and newsmakers, as well as connect with listeners about important topics on their minds.

"I am thrilled to join the SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S. family to share my enthusiasm for politics and public policy with a very smart audience," stated Scully. "I look forward not only to focusing on the developing stories of the day, but also to giving listeners a deeper context to complex issues. Together, we will peel back the layers of stories to provide new information with elected officials, key policy makers and leading journalists."

In his three-decade career at C-SPAN, Steve Scully served as political editor, host, and senior executive producer of C-SPAN's programming, including Washington Journal, the Road to the White House series, and its podcast The Weekly.
