Jacobs Media Launches ''AQ4'' Radio's Only Talent Survey

AQ4
AQ4

Jacobs Media will present AQ4 (Air Talent Questionnaire), its study aimed at radio talent, and is seeking feedback. The study of air personalities, hosts and teams and their producers is a collaboration between Jacobs Media and Morning Show Boot Camp, with the results being presented at MSBC 34 in Chicago on August 18-19. Jacobs says that "understanding the mindset of air personalities is critically important for every company in the radio business."

The study is open to any commercial air talent in the U.S., and is not limited to just one air personality per station.

A few key things to know:

  • AQ4 and all information gathered are totally confidential. No radio companies are involved with this survey. No IDs are used for tracking purposes. Everyone who takes the survey gets the exact same link so there is no way for any personally identifiable information to be tagged to anyone taking the survey.

  • Jacobs Media will not share your info with anybody (so taking the survey will not cause SPAM or sales calls).

  • The survey is kept as short as possible, and based on past years, most air talent will find it interesting. While it may take as long as 15 minutes to complete, they've received an excellent response in the previous three studies.

Jacobs Media's fourth edition of this study will once again cover the basics of being on the air - the excitement, aspirations, and disappointment. It will also help broadcasters understand the post-pandemic world of air talent, and how their roles may be changing.

Host/creator of Morning Show Boot Camp/Talk Show Boot Camp and publisher of "Jockline Daily," Don Anthony noted, "The AQ results have become a must-attend event at Boot Camp. It sets the tone for the conference, and provides our attendees with must-have information about their peers. We are excited to partner with Jacobs Media again for another insightful study."

AQ4 is an online study sent via email to both the "Jockline Daily" and Jacobs Media databases (and lots of word of mouth) and is open to the entire U.S. commercial radio industry. The study is "live" now through Sunday, July 24.

The results will be presented at Morning Show Boot Camp in Chicago on August 18-19.
