Inspiration WPZE-FM (Praise 102.5)/Atlanta is celebrating another historic win. On July 15, the Gospel outlet accepted its sixth Stellar Award as Major Market Gospel Station of the Year at the 37th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. Continuing their mission of inspiring the Atlanta community and beyond, Praise 102.5 remains the only station in the country that has won this award six times.
Returning to Atlanta after a nineteen-year departure, the Stellar Awards celebrated its 37th year honoring excellence in Gospel music during an weekend of events, concluding with the recorded-live ceremony on Saturday, July 16 at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Praise 102.5's midday personality and Gospel artist Jekalyn Carr co-hosted the main ceremony along with Stellar Award-winning artist and actress Kierra Sheard Kelly.
"It was great to be able to win this award right here in our great city in front of our amazing listeners and community," said Praise 102.5 Program Director Derek Harper. "Thank you to Don Jackson and the Stellar Awards committee for this honor."
"It is truly an honor to win this amongst the top stations in the country," added Regional VP and General Manager Tim Davies, "and a tribute to our whole Urban One Atlanta family who create engaging digital content, execute our client's campaigns, touch our community through all of the promotions, and so much more ever day, what a great team."
