Talk Media Network Ousts Ken Matthews After Seven Months
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, July 22, 2022 |
Syndicated Ken Matthews is out at Talk Media Network after just seven months. Inappropriate comments were accidentally aired regarding Hunter Biden that he thought was only being fed to his engineer, but went out on the air as well. Station affiliates will continue to air the show pre-recorded until August 12. Matthews entered talk radio syndication in the 12-3pm ET daypart with TMN in December, 2021, signing a long-term agreement. He is widely known for his guest hosting of "The Rush Limbaugh Show" for the previous four years, including the final two episodes of the program.
The former iHeartMedia News/Talk WHP-AM/Harrisburg, PA afternoon host posted on Twitter that he had "been terminated" and advised followers to "stay tuned" to right wing social media sites GAB, Rumble and Truth Social.
In a statement, Talk Media Network CEO Josh Leng said, "Ken Matthews' syndication agreement with Talk Media Network has been terminated. There will be no further comment."
