Legendary PD, Voiceover Talent Mark Driscoll Dead at 72

Legendary CHR programmer and voiceover talent Mark Driscoll has died while in hospice care in West Palm Beach, FL. He was 72. Driscoll, recently relocated to Pompano Beach, FL from California, after battling health issues from a fall in July. He was also a veteran CHR personality at a number of major market stations. His unique voice was recognizable to most in the radio industry.
According to Art Vuolo, Driscoll, an Oklahoma native, began his radio career as a teenager in Texas with Gordon McLendon nearly 50 years ago. By his early 20's, he worked in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, DC. Driscoll began his programming career 1974, before becoming the imaging voice for stations like WXKS (Kiss 108)/Boston, WPLJ/New York, WHYI (Y100)/Miami, WKQI/Detroit and KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, among many others.
