iHeartMedia Ups Michael Biondo to President of BD & SP

iHeartMedia promotes Michael Biondo to President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, effective immediately. He previously served as Executive Vice President, Strategic Business Operations for the iHeartMedia Networks Group. Biondo has been with iHeartMedia for almost 12 years, where he has been instrumental in building international partnerships, leading expansions in Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and France. He also brokered iHeartMedia's early podcast deals, including the first BetCast with the English Premiere League and a partnership with the NBA.

"Mike has had a long, varied career at iHeartMedia, and has gained experience and wisdom across a diverse set of priorities, vendors and partners," said iHeartMedia Digital Group CEO Conal Byrne. "With Mike in this new role, our company will be even better prepared to approach the market in a thoughtful, streamlined, strategic manner every day, and in every conversation."

Biondo's previous stints include ESPN, AT&T and, most notably, Thumbplay, where he served as VP of Customer Operations when the company was acquired by iHeartMedia in 2011. Biondo has gone on to run a number of varied divisions at iHeartRadio and most recently served as EVP, Strategic Business Operations within iHeart's Venture and Corp Dev team.
