WBWL (101.7 The Bull)/Boston's seventh annual "Country Cares for St. Jude" radiothon raised over $449,000 to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. "Country Cares for St. Jude Kids" was hosted locally by 101.7 The Bull air personalities Amanda Jo Parker and Jessica Callahan. The broadcast aired on Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9 from 10am-7pm and it featured St. Jude patients and their families. Listeners were encouraged to call in or text The Bull to become a St. Jude Partner In Hope, a program where donors make $19 monthly donations to St. Jude.

"Our listeners are incredibly generous and stepped up to help the kids of St. Jude," said 101.7 The Bull Program Director Joey Brooks. "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is an amazing place, and we are honored to help in the fight to make sure that no child is ever turned away for treatment, and that one day no child will die from cancer. Congrats to the entire iHeartMedia Boston team on another incredible Radiothon."

"We are extremely grateful for our partnership with 101.7 The Bull," added ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Territory Vice President, Northeast Myrna Mulholland. "Through this two-day radiothon, our partners at The Bull continue to promote awareness in support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding Cures. Saving Children Everywhere. Their heart and passion bring together the New England Community for the kids at St. Jude, and we can't thank them enough."

Over the past seven years, 101.7 The Bull has raised over $3.1 million to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and was named the 2019 St. Jude Partner Station of the Year.
