Radio One/Columbus, OH promotes Divine Martino to Program Director of WXMG (Magic 95.5) and WJYD (Joy 107.1), effective April 3. The SheJay will also maintain her duties as midday personality on WXMG. Martino landed her first show on WWWZ-FM (Z-93 Jamz) in Charleston, SC in 1996 and her career blossomed. Her two decades career has also included stops in Columbus, OH.

"Divine has done an outstanding job in Columbus giving us our best ratings in years on WXMG. We are enormously proud to promote and celebrate her successes," said Urban One Senior VP/Programming Colby Tyner.

Hailing from the southeast, Divine attended her formative years of schooling in Charleston, SC where she was born, and Atlanta, GA, where she got her inspiration to go full fledge with her radio career after winning a freestyle contest hosted by Atlanta radio personality Chris Lova Lova and Poon Daddy on their show on Hot 97.5 now Hot 107.9.

Divine attended the HBCU, Allen University in Columbia, SC and is a steadfast supporter of higher education, especially in the trades. Wellness and educating the community are an important passion, as she is a staunch supporter of the American Thyroid Association (ATA) and a holistic healing enthusiast with a vision to one day become a Master Herbalist.

"Divine Martino is incredibly deserving of her promotion to Program Director for our Urban AC, Magic 95.5, WXMG-FM and our Gospel station, Joy 107.1, WJYD-FM. She has played a pivotal role in the success of both stations. On Magic, we haven't seen ratings like this in years, and the station has never sounded better. And she guided Joy to that station's first Stellar award in 2022. We are so fortunate to have someone of her talents on the Urban One-Columbus team," said VP General Manager Kimberly Kyle.

"I can't put into words how excited I am to be entrusted with the position of PD in one of the most amazing markets in the Midwest. Especially in a time where there aren't many females in this position. Columbus is Poppin and I am more than proud to be a part of elevation," added Martino.
