Mark Kaye Giving Away Blue Check Marks on Twitter

Syndicated radio host Mark Kaye announced on his show Friday that he will be giving away "blue check marks" to listeners who follow him on Twitter. He announced the contest the day after millions of legacy verified accounts had their check marks removed by Elon Musk. The controversial switch to Twitter's terms and use of the verified badge gave Mark Kaye the great idea to help some of his listeners get verification.

Each day beginning April 24 and ending April 28, one listener will receive a one-year subscription to Twitter Blue which includes the coveted blue check mark. To enter, listeners have to follow @markkayeshow on twitter, and explain why they are most deserving of the prize. Then listen each day to The Mark Kaye Show to see if they are a winner.

"We are always looking for fun and unique ways to help our audience," explained Kaye. "Many of our listeners lost their blue check marks in the purge. Several others never had one to begin with. Either way, the twitter blue check mark has once again become a hot commodity and a major status symbol in the war to protect free speech. What better prize could we offer our listeners?"
