Now in his 18th year on SiriusXM, Howard Stern will bring his show to Miami to officially open the company's newest broadcast complex that will operate from the heart of South Beach. Stern's three-day series of special shows -- May 1 through the 3 -- will be his first ever broadcasts from Miami and will kick off a star-studded week of live programming. He'll be joined live in the studio by special music and celebrity guests.
To further celebrate, SiriusXM Miami's official opening week will feature a schedule of special broadcasts and performances across several SiriusXM channels, all originating from the South Beach complex. This also includes the launch of a brand-new Latin Pop channel, Hits Uno.
Inspired by Miami's rich musical culture and roots, this special programming will showcase some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Anitta, Becky G, Carlos Vives and Pitbull. LL Cool J will also host a special Miami edition of Salute The Sample for Rock The Bells Radio, which will spotlight local hip-hop talent. Andy Cohen, Bailey Zimmerman, John Summit, Jon Bon Jovi, Jonas Brothers, Tinx and more will also take part in broadcasts.
Hits Uno (ch. 321) will debut across the airwaves from SiriusXM's Miami studios to deliver today's pop, reggaeton, dance and viral LatinX music from around the world. Listeners can expect to hear hits from Bad Bunny, Becky G, Bizarrap, Camilo, Karol G, Maluma, Rauw Alejandro, RosalĂa, Sebastian Yatra and more.
SiriusXM Miami features a 50-seat performance space and several artist-first radio and recording studios, in addition to office space and is located at 2340 Collins Avenue, in Starwood Capital's newly opened Miami Beach headquarters.
"Miami is an incredibly rich center for music and entertainment," said SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein. "SiriusXM Miami will capture the city's unique culture and character and bring it to audiences across North America, as we've proudly done from our existing studios in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville and Washington DC. We're thrilled to have Howard kick things off in the biggest way with three exceptional days of shows, followed by a star-studded lineup of programming that showcases the broad array of content we offer, including the diverse and vibrant music emanating from the Latinx community. This is a fitting debut for what's to come from Miami, and we're very excited to get started."
