iHeartMedia has launched Conservative Talk "Freedom 104.7" as "DC's Real News Real Talk" on W284CQ and WMZQ-FM-HD2 in Washington, DC. The flip at W284CQ is the second format move this year after Talk "Wonk-FM" switched to a simulcast of Sports "1190 iHeart Sports DC" WTSD back in January. That brand will continue to be heard on WTSD and 101.1 WWDC-FM-HD2. The simulcast of 1120 WUST that was heard on WMZQ-FM-HD2 has moved to 100.3 WBIG-HD2.

Freedom 104.7 will air national radio personalities and talk show programs including Premiere Networks' Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Clay Travis, Buck Sexton and Jesse Kelly. The station will also feature frequent traffic reports and local weather updates.

"We are excited to welcome Sean, Glenn, Clay & Buck and a number of best-in-class personalities to Freedom 104.7," said Senior Vice President of Programming Jeff Kapugi. "We are confident that Freedom 104.7 will quickly become a favorite destination for DMV talk radio listeners."

"We're thrilled to have our industry-leading talk lineup join Freedom 104.7 & 98.7 HD-2," said Premiere Networks Executive Vice President of Affiliate Sales Peter Tripi. "These stellar talents will provide entertaining, unique and insightful views on the latest news, politics and events that Washington, D.C. listeners are looking for."

W284CQ mostly covers the areas of Washington, DC and Northern Virginia inside the beltway.
