In a significant shift from traditional broadcasting models, Silicon Valley Asian Media Group (SVAMG) has transitioned its entire operation to Radio.Cloud's advanced playout studio and programming suite. The move encompasses all four of SVAMG's channels, including South Asian KSJO-HD1 (Bolly 92.3), and its sister stations Telugu KSJO-HD2 (Virijallu FM), South Asian Podcast Channel KSJO-HD3 (SaFire Radio) and KSJO-HD4 (High-Fi Dream).
Radio.Cloud's browser-based platform allows these stations to broadcast live from virtually anywhere, a leap in technology that provides flexibility and efficiency. This approach eliminates the need for expensive physical studio spaces, enabling broadcasts that are both cost-effective and expansive in reach.
SVAMG CEO Brad Behnke expressed enthusiasm for the new system, stating, "This transition allows our company to scale quickly and efficiently. We can now deliver live, locally-produced content without the constraints of a traditional studio setup."
Radio.Cloud CEO and Founder Christian Brenner highlighted the capabilities now at SVAMG's disposal, particularly for Bolly 92.3, which operates live for several hours daily through a purely web-based interface. "This complex operation includes features like multiple live SIP calls and call waiting, all managed through our live studio," Brenner explained.
Following the switch to Radio.Cloud, SVAMG was able to consolidate their operations into a smaller, more cost-effective studio location in downtown San Jose. The transition not only reduced the cluster's physical footprint but also resulted in significant cost savings.
KSJO Program Director Gregg Pirillo shared his perspective on the operational overhaul: "Radio.Cloud has redefined programming for us. The ability to manage broadcasts from anywhere in the world combined with the capabilities of a 'Live Studio' has been transformative for our team."
Looking forward, SVAMG plans to leverage the flexibility and scalability of Radio.Cloud to expand into 10-15 new markets across the U.S., focusing on enhancing their South Asian radio platform.
