The National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation (NABLF) has announced that submissions are now open for the 2025 Celebration of Service to America Awards. The awards recognize the vital contributions made by local TV and radio stations to communities nationwide. Broadcast groups and stations are invited to submit entries showcasing their most impactful community service initiatives from 2024. Entries will be accepted until March 10.

This year, the awards will feature two new categories: the First Informers Award and the Spanish Language Broadcaster Award. The former will honor a radio or TV station's crucial role in providing timely information during emergencies, while the latter will recognize outstanding service to bilingual or Spanish-speaking audiences through news, sports and entertainment.

NAB Leadership Foundation President Michelle Duke emphasized the importance of local broadcasting in community engagement and public service. "Local broadcasters are at the forefront of investigative journalism and emergency communication, continuously serving their communities," said Duke.

The winners of the awards will be announced in early April and honored at a gala in Washington, DC on June 10. The event will assemble policymakers, industry executives, and notable figures to celebrate the remarkable community service efforts of local stations.

The Celebration of Service to America Awards, sponsored by Bonneville International and Hearst Television, highlights the exceptional community service performed by local broadcasters each year.
