iHeartMedia New York inks Chris Conley to a new multi-year agreement that expands his responsibilities within the company. Conley, who has lead AC WLTW (106.7 Lite FM) to consistent top rankings in New York, will continue as the AC Brand Manager while also spearheading strategy and research for all iHeartMedia AC stations. This includes outlets such as WLTW-FM, WKTU-FM and WNIC-FM.
Alongside Conley's expanded role, iHeartMedia welcomes back industry veteran Jill Kempton to New York. Kempton, taking over as Program Director for WLTW-FM and WKTU-FM, returns to the city after successful stints in Washington DC and Los Angeles. Her return is poised to inject a fresh dynamic into the programming strategy of these flagship stations.
Reflecting on his new role, Conley expressed his enthusiasm for continuing his journey with iHeartMedia. "I'm looking forward to bringing new insights and opportunities to our stations and brands," he said, acknowledging the support and trust from senior management in shaping this new path.
iHeartMedia Executive Vice President of Programming Thea Mitchem highlighted the strategic importance of these appointments. "Chris's journey from broadcaster to legendary programmer showcases his profound impact on our industry. Similarly, welcoming Jill back to New York marks a pivotal step in strengthening our leadership and ensuring our stations continue to dominate the ratings," Mitchem noted.
Kempton also shared her excitement about returning to New York, remarking on the iconic status of stations like Lite-FM and KTU. "I'm thrilled to be part of the heartbeat and soundtrack of New York City again and am looking forward to elevating these brands even further," she commented.
iHeartMedia plans to announce the new Program Director for KOST-FM in Los Angeles in the upcoming weeks.
