Wave Sports & Entertainment (Wave) is set to launch a new original series titled "Straight to Cam," featuring WNBA sensation Cameron Brink. The Los Angeles Sparks forward will co-host the series with Sydel Curry-Lee, offering a weekly exploration of pop culture, sports, and lifestyle topics. The series premieres on January 28, with episodes releasing every Tuesday.
Brink, known for her dynamic presence both on and off the basketball court, is venturing into new territory as she enters her second season in the WNBA. Alongside her co-host and godsister Sydel Curry-Lee, sister to NBA star Steph Curry, the duo will delve into a range of subjects including pop culture, sports, dating and self-care. The show promises to feature special guests and unscripted discussions, bringing the hosts' charismatic personalities directly to viewers.
Brink expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with Wave, stating, "Wave's reputation as a leader in athlete-driven storytelling makes them the perfect partner to share my journey and bring fans closer to my world on and off the court. With 'Straight to Cam,' we're not just talking about sports-we're creating a space to celebrate the culture, community, and candid moments that make life in the W so unique."
Mack Sovereign, Chief Content Officer at Wave, highlighted the hosts' unique appeal: "Cameron and Sydel have a unique ability to connect with people and let their authentic selves shine. Their chemistry and shared history will stand out in a crowded space, and we're excited to add this dynamic duo to our growing slate of hit series."
"Straight to Cam" joins a robust lineup of Wave Originals, including popular series like "Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce" and "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce." Over the past year, Wave Originals has achieved over 3.6 billion impressions, cementing its status as a leading platform in athlete-centric programming.
"Straight to Cam" will be available on platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts, with additional updates and interactions available through its social media channels on X, Instagram and TikTok.
